Trust Over Worry

Verse of the Day:
“Throw all your anxieties upon him, because he cares about you.”
—1 Peter 5:7
Any Given Day
Okay, real talk—running a business can be overwhelming, to do the job at hand while chasing your child, answer a call, and try to make dinner, all at the same time. f(Spoiler: I’ve already overcooked the pasta.) There’s always something—a deadline sneaking up, a client email that’s vaguely ominous, or that random expense you didn’t see coming. It’s enough to make anyone’s brain buzz like a beehive. And trust me, that buzz can turn into a full-on mariachi band in about five seconds flat.
But here’s the thing that keeps me grounded when I’m tempted to spiral: God’s got this. Seriously. That verse from 1 Peter? It’s like a divine permission slip to offload all the mental clutter I’m carrying. He’s not just sitting there watching me flail—He cares. Like, deeply, personally, “I’ve got your back” cares. And He’s inviting me (and you!) to trust Him with the mess instead of letting it run the show.
I’ll be honest—sometimes I forget this. I’ll catch myself refreshing my inbox obsessively or mentally rehearsing a worst-case scenario like it’s an Oscar-worthy drama. But then I remember: I don’t have to carry it all. Neither do you. Whether it’s a big business decision or just the daily grind wearing you down, God’s ready to take the weight. And that, my friends, is better than any productivity hack I’ve ever tried.
Do This
Grab a pen (or your phone if you’re fancy) and jot down three things stressing you out about your business right now. Maybe it’s cash flow, a tricky project, or wondering if you’ll ever figure out that new algorithm. Whatever it is, write it down. Then, take a deep breath, pray over each one—nothing formal, just talk to God like He’s right there (because He is)—and mentally hand it over. Picture yourself dropping those worries into His hands. It’s not magic, but it’s pretty close to His peace. This is Trust over Worry.
So, what’s on your list today? I’d love to hear—drop a comment and let’s lift each other up!
